Instructions for Christmas Advent

Hi everyone
As promised this is the instructions for this lovely Advent tree I made again this year

Cherry cobbler card stock  5, 5/8  x 7 1/2  you need 25 of these

Designer Series Paper 1. 1/2  x 1. 1/2  you need 4 of these per box and 5 for the top box

Score the long side at 1/2 , 2. 1/4 , 4,  5 3/4
turn and score 3/8 , 2. 1/8,  3. 7/8.

Cut using the template below. keeping the full section removed for the circle behind the date.

I didn't wedge the cuts because it can very easily be over trimmed. Instead I did it as I was putting the box together, this way it wasnt going to drop open.

I used a half inch circle punch for the notch at the top.
I lined up 9 boxes and stuck some ribbon on the back to secure them together using tear and tape, I used just tape last year and they all came apart.
These can now be joined together to make your circle.
9 on the bottom row
7 on the second
5 on the third and Christmas day on top.
I glued these together using a hot glue gun to make it more secure.
It was then mounted on a covered circle of card with matching cardstock.
The numbers were cut from a heart from the sweet and sassy framelits and backed onto a die from the layering circle framelits but the size these will depend on your numbers.

I hope these instructions help and I would love to see your advent when you have done one.

Getting ready for Christmas

I am so thrilled to have been asked to be CraftyCarolines First Guest Blogger. what a wonderful opportunity and one i wasn't about to turn down !! A fantastic Team leader !!

I haven't blogged in a few weeks as I have been really busy with a new adventure of being a adult Army Cadet Instructor. My hats of to all those that have gone through this process although I am enjoying it my brain hasn't worked so hard in years haha.

I have still been running my regular craft groups on Thursday's and Saturday's as my love of Craft still comes first. There is nothing like a hour or two of crafting to lift your spirits

Today's project is a Advent Calendar we have been making at my Saturday classes they take a fair few hours but on Saturdays we make more involved projects over a few weeks but it was all worth and everyone was thrilled with the result.
My classes on a Thursday are more relaxed, we make a simple card and enjoy a chat while having a cuppa.  My classes are held at my home in Holbeach, Lincolnshire. If your Local I would love for you to join us.

These Advent calender's showcase our wonderful Designer series paper that's available this year.

One of these has been made as a gift for my grandchildren as its perfect to put a couple or more chocolates in, one is for my growing teenage boys that still like a chocolate treat daily, who wouldn't and the last is a gift. I know I will have some friends request one for their children.

Carols Of Christmas

Today is Pootles Blog Hop day!!

I Hope you enjoy 'hoppy' around looking at the Teams projects.

Morning everyone how has your weekend been ?
Mine has been been the good old taxi of mum haha. Love that they have interests away from the computers though.
I have been crafting with my first purchase from the new Christmas catalogue

This is a large double page suite that has wonderful new colours for Christmas thats not the traditional red but Old Olive and Black. I still decided on using a red though this time so Cherry Cobbler was chosen.

I used the Card Front Builder that is part of the bundle for the trees and the star corners.

The reindeer paper is from the Christmas pack in the main catalogue called Be Merry Designer paper.
Below is the items used. Any questions please get in touch

Crafting with friends

Hi everyone
Today I wanted to share with you a fantastic session I had in the school holidays.
My friend asked if she could bring her daughter and friend over and I was thrilled
I decided that we would make a Stationery Gift box. The original design I found from MayMay Made it crafts on YouTube. I found it really easy to follow and wonderful to pass on to class.
Here is my project
I used old Olive paper with the New Christmas Paper Merry Little Christmas

The girls made a lovely job of theirs too.

For those that would like to see how I made it these were the pictures I took while I was making it with the measurements .

I hope the pictures help a little but please message if you would like more info. I don't do tutorials so be kind lol.
